The camping site is located not far from them.
In the heart of the city the huge Plaza Independencia commemorates the 9th of July of 1816, the day Argentina declared independence from Spain. From it you can walk through Sarmiento Av. a pedestrian street, or take in a night at the Casino (which is housed in a five star hotel in front of the Plaza).
Outside of the city, you can take one of the tours available in order to get to the Puente del Inca, a natural stone bridge spanning the Río Mendoza. Untherneath it, the rock face and the ruins of an old spa are stained yellow by warm sulfurous thermal springs.
